A Tale of Two Scarves

Good Morning Everyone!
YAY !  It is Friday.
Theses Two Scarves are made from an Old T-Shirt.
This is a little longer than my normal post, so bare with me.

I made this first one last night with the left over bottom half of the T-Shirt I used on Project Re-Style #8.  It took me, with sewing on the buttons, about 30 minutes,(Maybe.)
Without the buttons, 5 minutes, if that..
Something to add to our 5 Minute Fridays.
   Aren't 5 Minute Fridays Fun.
YAY for Easy!!

Pom Pom Scarf is a little more time consuming.
This one I added small pom poms to and tied with string.  This Idea was given to me at our afternoon coffee meeting, that  I attend when I can.  You see everyday My Mom my Grandmother and Elaine have coffee time and share  ideas.   Elaine and my Mom always have the best eye for things,  she and my Mom are my researchers.  They see things, and being  fellow amazing Crafters themselves, they bring  me all kinds of ideas.  Elaine saw this scarf in a boutique  and drew it out for me on a piece of  paper.  She then handed me the pom poms, and said "Make it."(LOL)   I just had to find a scarf.   Well when I made this 5 min scarf last night, the light bulb clicked on.  I thought I need to attempt this.
So here it is, and I LOVE it.
Super Great Idea E!

Tutorial for Another 5 Minute Scarf.

So here is the next one.
Tutorial for the Pom Pom Scarf

This took me about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Thanks E, I L O V E  how it turned out.
Happy Friday Everyone!

Face

I have received a few emails lately about what I look like!
Because I have to take my own Pictures, my face is always behind the camera,(I like it like that) or I am taking pictures of Ms. Mannequin who has no face, lol.   Well, over the last few days, I have been looking for Red lipstick, (that did not make me look like a clown,) and I was taking a few shots to test the color with my skin tone, I thought what the heck,  why not post my silly pictures.  This will most likely be one of the only times you will see my face.  So here is a little Collage I put together.
Please don't laugh .
Nice to meet all of you.
Hi,  I  am  Anne.
AKA,WobiSobi.

Thursday

I am back to Ms. Mannequin this morning because I have a little time. I am wearing jeggings and a long white Shirt from, once again, one of my most favorite stores- Target. I also could not decide which belt to wear,  so I am looking at both in these pictures to decide.   Maybe I will take a quick shot of my decision and post it a little later.  I think we finally have H on the right track to wellness. I have to go get a few prescriptions  filled  and run a few more errands, then back to getting ready for the weekend.
(It will be almost 6 weeks of antibiotics
she has been on!! Poor thing)

I also found out some Super Exciting news, that Two of my Shirt Re-Styles were featured on two different Wonderful Blogs sites this week.
One was the Blog Someday Crafts and the other
Creative Juice on the Site Momnivore's Dilemma. Really great blogs you should check out.
Thank you  ladies, so much, for featuring me!!
I am Truly Grateful.
I really cannot believe it is Thursday again, the weekend right around the corner.  Hopefully I will get to post a few crafts I have been up to tonight.

Everyone have a Beautiful Thursday.

Red and Black

Morning all!
I am dashing off early this morning,  which means my pictures are a little dark because there happens to be an extremely  thick  layer of fog lingering over our little city.  I am on the run today, so no heels just simple Black ballet flats.  I paired that with an easy Red Sweater and Black Tank with the ever so comfy  jeans, all of which are from Target.
I hope all of you have something wonderful happen to you today!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

What I Ate Wednesday

My Good Blogger Friend Jennifer, at the Awesome Blog,  Peas and Crayons, Has a link party on Wednesday called, What I Ate Wednesday.  The idea is you picture journal everything you ate for a day and post it.  It is really making me think about my food, and, is what I eat pretty?. LOL.
So here is my Food Post for What I Ate Wednesday.
Just for you Jennifer:)

Breakfast: Coffee,  and about 10 I eat something like granola or fruit.
Lunch: I had an Apple and Banana &  Some more granola
Dinner: Parmesan Chicken and Salad
Ice Cream
And while I watched a movie, I ate Popcorn and drank Iced tea.

Pink and Brown

Just a quick clothes post of today's outfit.  I don't know why, but I LOVE ties, I always have. I guess, to me, it is a great way to infuse a little hint of color,  kind of like jewelry.  If  I were a guy, I would most  likely wear one everyday.  I  am not really sure why guys  make such a fuss over wearing them.

White Shirt- Macy's, Cropped Dress Pants- Gap,

Gray and Gray.

I told a little white lie this morning.  I told you I was going to pair my new shirt with a black pencil skirt,  but as you can see, I changed my mind and put it with my Gray one instead.  I love the way my shirt turned out.   I also love simple outfits that are all one tone because one color makes you  look taller.   I really have to be careful because I am  short wasted and I tend to look chopped in half if I wear to much of a contrasting  color on the top, but, if I wear all one color, that usually fixes it for me. I was even daring and put on red lipstick this morning, to see how it would photograph. I have really never found a red that looks good on me, I usually  just grab the Clear Gloss and go.

Any suggestions on a good Red lipstick that goes with Olive Skin tone?

Have a Wonderful Afternoon Everyone!

Project Re-Style #8

Happy Monday Everyone!!
If your just tuning into Wobisobi,  this is Project Re-Style Day for me.. We are on Week #8  WOW!  I can't believe it has been eight weeks. Well if you are just now finding me, I am part of Project Re-Style, 52 weeks of re-styling something old into something new.  I have all of the details  at the end of this post.  There are lots of bloggers who are doing this and they all have such wonderful ideas, it is truly mind blowing!! This week I had this Shirt I bought from Target about 3 years ago and it was one of my favorites because of the fit and how it could go with almost anything.   I even bought the same shirt in a different color because I loved it so much.  Well my shirt started to get little holes right around the collar, I tried to mend it but I failed miserably.  So because I never throw anything away, (well I do throw somethings away, I am not a hoarder, I promise.) it hung in my closet for about a year.  I guess  it  secretly wanted to be Re-Styled and worn once again.
I just need to say  ONE Thing!
THANK YOU  so much for joining my BLOG, and if you are one of my wonderful followers, Words could never express how much I appreciate all your  sweet comments and wonderful  support. I LOVE doing this blog, even if no one ever looked at it, I would still just love documenting my journey this year.

OK,  Lets Get this project rolling.

 Tutorial
Things you need.
1.  Old Shirt
2.  Scissors
3. Another old tee in the same color or in a contrasting color, use your imagination.
4.  Sewing machine or you could sew it by hand if you so desired.
5.  A Vision.;)

I don't know if you can see the holes, but this is where I tried to mend it.

I took an old tee shirt and cut strips about  6 inches wide, folded them in half and cut slits in them.
Then I stretched them like the Five Minute Scarf.
Then I sewed them on to the shirt.

I took one length of ruffle all the way around.

And I did a second ruffle just across the front.
YAY!! all done and my shirt is reborn.
Welcome back, old friend.
I am going to wear it today with a Black Gray Pencil Skirt.

8 Down 44 to go
Just click on the  picture for all the details.

I hope Everyone has a great Monday.
See you next week:)
or hopefully before then.
Hugs!!
