Neon Wapped Bracelet, DIY

Neon Wrapped Bracelet.
This would also look good Red, White and Blue for July 4th

Things you need.

  1. Neon rope ~Lowes
  2. Neon cord Walmart
  3. Glue
  4. Scissors

Cut your cord 16 inches long and fold in half.
Tie a knot in each end, leaving a loop at one end.
Cut a piece of  pink neon rope about 4 feet.
 I always cut too much.
(Getting to the end and not having enough rope in not my idea of fun:)

Take your neon rope and tie a slip knot on one end.

 Pull tight

then start weaving the rope like the picture above.

Tie the end off, cut off excess rope.
and place a drop of glue on each knot.

Mix up your colors however you feel.
Fun weekend project.
Happy Friday.

Off the Shoulder Scarf Shirt / Dress. DIY

Make your own off the shoulder Shirt/ Dress with a scarf in 10 minutes.
Adam and I saw this top  while we were out getting ideas
and we thought it would be super easy to make.

Things you need.

  1. A scarf (Dimensions my scarf  is  6 feet by 3 feet)
  2. Sewing machine
  3. Safety pins
  4. Pencil or chalk

measure  from under your arm almost to your shoulder.

 Fold your scarf in half

Use a piece of clothing that you like the way it fits
and trace a line from under the arm to the bottom hem.

with your safety pins, pin where your measurements are.
Try it on.
Make adjustments if necessary.

If it fits....
sew where the red lines are. A small half inch at the top.
*I sewed over it twice to make sure it was secure.*

Now you have a new off the shoulder shirt or dress for  a summer party.
I made this in about ten minutes.
You can too.
Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Racer Back Tee DIY #3 Three braid back.

This Racer Back Tee has three braids in the back.
This is just another version of #1 basic, racer back tee.
Things you need.

  1. Black v-neck  Tee ( mine is an extra large, but you can use any size)
  2. Scissors
  3. Chalk
  4. Needle and thread ~the same color as the shirt.
Use the chalk to trace a line on the shirt.
cut off the sleeves

This is how I cut the back.

Cut the back into three equal sections.

Cut each section into three more equal parts.

 Braid each section

  now you have three braids

pin each braid to the underside of collar .

 and  hand stitch it,
trim off the excess material.

And that is all there is to it.
A great bathing suit cover up.
