Happy Friday to you all.
What a week .. A lot of wonderful changes have been occurring in my life lately.
One of them is the public interest in some of my jewelry. Because of this, I have been thinking about selling some of the pieces I have created. The funny thing is, right after I decided to actually sell some of the things that I have created, several orders came in, and I am NOW working on my very own line..WOW!!
I am hoping to have some of my pieces available, to buy, online in the next month or so.
Lately, I have been asked to review some products and then endorse them on my blog. Some of them I have to say no to, because if the product is not something I would use or think is fantastic I will not endorse it, EVEN if they offer it to me for free. When My Memories contacted me to try their software and then give away a free copy of My Memories Suiteon my site, I did like I do with all the others, I researched it, read reviews, and looked it over with a fine tooth comb. I must say that this is some of the coolest digital scrapbook software I have ever tried. The amazing thing about the My Memories Suite
is that you download the software and use it to create scrapbook
layouts, photo books, cards, videos, calendars, scrapbooks with music, you name it! There are tons of
options. And it's a great alternative to needing Photoshop or Photoshop
Elements. Thescrapbook softwarewas easy to install and use. It comes with pre-made templates, paper,
embellishments, text options, all at the click of a button. And if you
want more, there are links to more kits on their site, accessed directly
from the software itself! When I wanted to buy a set of really fun paper
designs, I just clicked the link, purchased a VERY reasonably priced
kit, and it installed right into the software! An extra bonus with My Memories,
is that you can also download any digital files and use them with
Photoshop, or the like. It's all so flexible, and super easy to use. I
really liked that I could create layouts in My Memories Suite, save it,
and then finish it up with some of my own elements from my personal
Photoshop stash.
I am not the most computer savvy person. Although I can figure most things out, what I really like is that this software is quick and easy. My time to me is very valuable, I don't have a lot of time to spend figuring things out. I am sure all of you feel that very same way. There are also some great Videos about My Memories on You Tube that can help you with any problem. I've seen lots of digital scrap-booking software,
but this really is a simple and all-inclusive way to go. Especially if
you are new to the digital world, or are feeling lost. This brings it
all to you in one cohesive product:

I was searching for a way to use
this scrap piece of T-Shirt I had left over from another project and I
came up with this cute no sew vest.
Welcome Everyone, to My Project Re-Style day.
Can you believe, that after today, I will only have 15 more Re-Style projects left to do, for my year of Re-Styling..?
It
went by so very quick and... I am thinking about keeping my Re-Style
Monday as a permanent fixture on my blog. I guess we will have to see
when my 52 Re-Styles are completed.
Do any of you have shirts or pieces of shirts you just can't throw away. Well I do, lot's of them..
I did a quick search on the internet and found this cute no sew vest on Cut out and Keep.
I did do mine slightly different.
I think, with all the layering that is in style right now, this would make a great piece,
and it cost me nothing.. Well.... it cost me about 3 dollars for the original shirt.
I just love quick, no sew projects, that anyone can do..
Tutorial
Things you need
1. Shirt
2.Scissors
The grey part ( in the picture above) is the scrap of T- shirt I had.
I cut the shirt where it meets at the bottom, this will makes a rectangle( like the picture above) and the rectangle will have a hole in the middle.
No not the chocolate but the outfit,
even though I wish I had a piece of Green and Black's chocolate right this minute.
Yummy, doesn't that look amazing.
and its Organic, that means you can eat more..
Happy Friday to you all.
I haven't done a clothes post in so long that I I was feeling kind of guilty.
So here is my Friday night lights outfit. I even threw in a extra ( Man Repeller) layer, just for funsies.
Today's creation was completely unexpected.. Please let me introduce to you Mr. Lucky Charm. The main reason I wanted to share him with you is because I am extending an invitation to Mr. Lucky Charm to join some of my Arm Parties.
Welcome Mr. Lucky, I hope you have a good time..
I know all of you have seen these multi chain necklaces popping up everywhere in the last year or so.. I love the randomness of the different chain and varied lengths. This necklace was made out of left over chain from different projects,( no waste ).. I always have random lengths of chain left over, just sitting around waiting to be used. If you remember my Steampunk post, the pin I created there was also from left over chain as well, Click HERE to SEE... This is a super easy DIY, as in,
you can create your own special necklace however you want it.
Here are just a few I found on line
this one above is $575.00 HERE
2. 3 Medium jump rings and 8 small jump rings (depending on how much rhinestone chain you use..)
3. 2 Large jump rings
one lobster claw clasp
4. Pliers
5. ( optional) Charm of your choice, with a jump ring.
Optional
If you use the rhinestone chain you have to attach the connectors to each end.. Very easy to do, just use pliers to bend the prongs down. Pictured above.
I randomly placed my chain on my jump rings.., then I randomly placed the rhinestone chain, in various places as well.
I folded a length of chain in half to make the part that goes around the back of your neck, adding the clasp to one side.
Add your charm to one side, if desired.
And that is pretty much it..
A new necklace for you.. super easy and made out of scrap chain you had left over..
I have some exciting news..
Because I have had a lot of inquires about selling a few of the items I make. I am in the process of setting up a Paypal account. This is super scary and super exciting. But I have learned that scary is good... and sometimes you just have to take that jump.. I will keep all of you up dated.
With Fall right around the corner, I am going to try Re-Styling clothes
that can be worn in cooler weather.
Welcome everyone to my Project Re-Style day.
This week I am doing a Re-Style that I have done before, except this one is with a long sleeve shirt. If you would like to see the other Re-Style Click HERE..
This was my son's shirt and I am not going to tell you how long ago I bought it. Let us just say it was a long time ago. I thought this shirt was a great color and it sort of fit me, it was just a little big in some places. ( an Easy fix)
For you girls out there who are not fond of your arms but love your shoulders, this is the shirt for you,
it shows only the best parts ...
Tutorial
Things you need.
1.Sewing Machine
3.Scissors
4. Safety pins
5. About an hour:)
1. Try your shirt on. Decide where you want your cuts and how big. ( I
marked mine with a pencil) Cut out two triangles on your shoulders. Sew the edges
2. Turn your shirt to the back and iron the pleat that the shirt has in
the back, then stitch that down.
(I stitched it down to the waist.) This takes up some of the bulk of the shirt
3. Try on your shirt again this time inside out.
Take your safety pins and pin the shirt, starting with under the arms. and mark all the way down to your hips. You can also take a shirt you already have and lay it on top and mark it that way. Once you have tried it on again and like the fit, Sew your shirt from arm pit to hips.
I have had my temporary lock-down(on crafting) revoked for just a moment, and lets just say I was extremely excited about it. I quickly put together this bracelet that I have been thinking about. Now, pairing this bracelet with an outfit was the next step, so I could take a proper picture of it. This is the outfit I came up with, although, I am almost positive I would wear this piece with anything.
Now, I must run... We are off to take our most wonderful house guest, to some most wonderful shopping spots.
