No Sew Pillow

I Use to do this a lot when I wanted a change in my living room,  back when I was just married and had no money.  I have always wanted to change colors  in my rooms and Pillows where the fasted and easiest way to do it, and I love easy and Inexpensive.   I have been looking for  a small pillow and could never find one.  I found this pillow in G's room just waiting for me to swipe it:).  I had given it  to him  last Valentine's day, for some reason I don't think he will miss it.
You can use any Scarf or scrap piece of material.  This was a scarf I have had for 15 years, lol, and the color was perfect.  I covered the red pillow with white material first, so you could not see the red underneath.

Tutorial

Scarf and  white material to fit.

I pinned the white pillow cover with a safety pin to hold it in place, and  to make it easier.
Or you could tie a bow.
I tucked in the ends so they could not be seen.

She looks so pretty in her new spot.

Happy Saturday Everyone.

Ivory

I decided to pull out my wide leg pants this lovely Friday morning.  Maybe I did this  because I want big time comfort, or maybe  just because it is Friday.  I thought wearing big comfy pants was a nice change from wearing big comfy jeans.
I tend  to wear different shades of one color, because  sometimes wearing dark,  light combination's makes me look like a Wee Leprechaun.
I hope everyone had a great week.   Wow!, the weeks are flying by for me!
Are they flying by for you?

Brown

Florida weather is not able to make up it's mind.  Not that I am complaining by any means, it is absolutely  beautiful today, the wind is just blowing away outside, and it is a touch chilly.
Winter, Spring , Spring, Winter?
I wore layers today, but light layers, because I know by 3 O'clock it will be warm and then 6 O'clock it will be cool again. I paired that with a tan  leather skirt I bought at Express, forever ago..I even threw in my New Clutch that I just made, to see how it would go. Green is just the pop of color I need.   I think this purse is going to be very versatile,
not bad for a $1.50 Placemat Clutch!

Placemat Clutch

I picked this placemat up from Wal- Mart for $1.50, and as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to make a clutch out of it, I just wasn't sure how.  I went home,  played with it, drew out some pictures over one of our coffee times and this is what I came up with.
Many trial and errors.
But it turned out exactly the way I pictured it.
I used part of a belt that E <my researcher> gave me to finish it off.
These are the Spring and Summer colors that I am drawn to this year, the Greens, Tans, Blues, with wood accents.  I have one more idea for a summer clutch,  but that will be another post.
How I wore it

This is How I Made It.

White

Ok sooooooo you might be wondering why I am wearing all white..
Well,......... lets just say I have to, and  the people close to me know why.
Heading out .. I have a few crafts I have been working on .  I hope to get to them tonight, if I am not back too late..
Wednesday is waiting.
Have a fantastic one!!

 And No shoes oh MY!!

Wooden Beads

I picked up these wooden beads at Wal-mart about a month ago because,  for some reason, I am wanting wooden accessories for Spring.    I  made this Bracelet to start off with and I think I  will work on a necklace next.   Super easy and inexpensive.  I have always wondered how to do  two beads next to each other without all the tying and so on.  On this bracelet  I used just one strand of  clear elastic thread and tied it off at the end.  You could do this with all kinds of beads.   I was thinking a pearl one would be pretty too.
I love how it turned out, so I thought that I would share.
 A Tutorial (kind of :) )

Just measure you arm  I used 20 large beads and 10 small ones: But I like my bracelets kind of loose.

Whatever you measure, double that for your elastic thread.

 And That is it!!!!
Super Easy and something new to add to my Spring Collection.   I think this will look good with my New Re-Styled  Orange Skirt.

 Oh Yeah!!!
I made this too, but that's another post..
Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

Boy Meets Girl.

Today I am not traveling much, just your run of the mill taxi service.  I am, however, working on a bit of Art and Design, so I thought I would dress to feel inspired to Work.   Does that  really work?   Yes, for me it does.  I have always felt if I could just get up and get dressed, things would get accomplished. Most of the time,  I get a lot more done if I do that.
Today I am mixing masculine with feminine. I love that combination.  Do you?   Maybe it is because I love Marlena Dietrich,Katharine Hepburn,
and Greta Garbo.
I just think there is just something great about it.

Have a Great Tuesday Night:)

One Month of Outfits

I thought it would be fun to go back into February and put together a collective view of everything I wore.  Kind of like a little clothes rundown.  It gives me a good overview of how many time I wear something.  Maybe this is what I will do the first day of every month, from now on.
Plus, today,  My Blog is 3 Months Old. WOW!!!
I have met so many wonderful people and learned so much.   I love doing this  Blog.  I don't think I have ever loved doing anything more than this,
well except maybe painting and drawing.
Thank you all again for being so supportive and positive.
I hope there are lots of fun days ahead.
So without further adieu, I present, one month of outfits, they are in no particular order.
Have a wonderful Tuesday Everyone!
