Fashion Class Week # 2

Long live the ability to learn, grow, and change. The whimsical eye of a child or young adult, before all of the world's bias's have set in. The positive thinking and the spirit of the young we so eagerly need. I have experience the best part of that, this week, through the class that I am teaching.  But the funny part about that is, it is them  teaching me,  with their non corrupted minds. I will always remember that this teaching experience  has changed me forever, that this world has so much hope and promise, in the young. We, as adults, tend to only see the negative, but I am here to say that there is way more positive and I choose to focus only on that, and I also choose to  feed this idea into every child and young adult I come across. We as adults have an obligation to them, to nurture  their minds with positive thoughts, and in return, positive will come out of them.
I want all of my students to know that you are all beautiful and wonderful humans and that through  your eyes and your positive thinking YOU all can make this world a better, more positive place.  Do not listen to the negative no matter who says it, focus only on the positive's and the I can.. and if you do that , I promise, the I can ~will  turn into the I will~ then into the I DID!~
Thank you for giving me such a gift!!

Jewelry du jour.

Happy Wednesday all!
Sorry I have been so scarce.  I miss you guys!!  Fashion class this week has been so wonderful. I have 7 for the week and I have heard that some of my students have signed up for the entire month, which makes me very happy. I  am so lucky. They are the best group of young people, so creative and full of talent. I am happily off of work, from my other job for 3 whole days,  so Mrs. WobiSobi will get a little attention again. I have missed her.!!
Pictures from the class are coming this evening , but for now I will post the jewelry of the day.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
Talk to you soon..

Project Re-style #28 White Tee into a boat neck shirt

Ok so technically, it is not 12:00am in California, SOOOOO I am thinking I still have my project in by Monday.
Hey everyone.  Welcome to Project Re-Style # 28.
as always all the information  for Project Re-style will be at the end of this post.

There was a shirt that I saw on Ava Gardner, in the1953 movie, Mogambo .  I looked for a picture, but I could find nothing. She had on an off the shoulder, white shirt, and it just screamed summer.  This is a T-shirt version of Ava's shirt, made out of a white hanes T-shirt.
Tutorial
Things you need
1. White t-shirt
2.Sewing machine
3. Straight pins
4. Chalk
5. Scissors

1 Try on your shirt and see where you want to cut the collar,  then cut the collar.
2. turn your t-shirt inside out and lay it down , go and get your favorite tee that fits you perfect.
lay that on your shirt and mark.
3. Sew where you marked.
4.Turn shirt right side out and try on
5. If all looks well, trim off the excess material.

Take your collar from the bottom part that  you cut off and put the right side of the collar to the wrong side of the shirt.
Sew and iron.
and with that, you are all done.
See.... so easy.

I LOVE how it turned out.

Khaki and White

Just a super quick Sunday clothes post. I love basic  khaki and white.   You can dress it up or down.
Here, I used two belts together, a smaller one, on top of the larger one. It gives  the belts so much more diversity.

Heading into my Second week of fashion class,
plus, Project Re-Style tomorrow.
I can not wait!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Fashion Class, Week # 1

I had such a great group of little fashionistas this week.  Two of them are staying with me next week and hopefully, the other two will join me for another week as well. They were all so wonderful and I am really going to miss them when this class is over.  I can't believe how quickly the week has gone by. We crammed in  quite a bit in a short time~ learning basic sewing, how to design your own t-shirts, denim distressing, and leather~ flower, hair pin making.  I only had them for one and a half hours for Five days, and they were an Amazing group, such  sweethearts, so imaginative. I just love it...
So as promised, here are a few pictures I snapped during class. Thank you Julian, Ashanti, Shelbi and Brandi  for making my first week just a wonderful experience.

All of you are so awesome!!.
I am so very proud to have been able to meet you!!
