Dainty, Wire Rings. DIY

Make your own

I have seen a few beautiful, dainty, wire rings lately and I have fallen in love.
Case in point.
 Kelly From The Glamouri
had on these two simple silver rings from her Ship wrecked Shoot.

This Small heart ring from

This beauty from Etsy

And this dainty little Heart ring
Also from Etsy

The best thing about most of these rings are
that you can make them yourself, with a few supplies, and a little know how.

Things You Need.

  1. Wire: 20 gauge *Wal-mart
  2. Beads
  3. Candle
  4. Pliers

Cut your wire  the length you want.
This wire was 6 inches long, for this  particular ring I am doing.

Take your candle and wrap the wire around .
You will have to judge what size you want  by your finger.
 Twist it around once
Slide on your bead on
make sure the hole is lined up west to east ..
not north to south

Start to wrap one of your wires, starting at the top of the bead and working your way down.

Then wrap the other wire, doing the same thing. Start at the top (in between) the other wire and work your way down.
The end piece will be sticking out :
so use your pliers to push it down flush
 How dainty

Happy Wednesday!!
Lots of <3

  1. I love those wire rings! I have small dainty hands and these would be perfect! There is something so very simple and beautiful about them as well. Thanks for sharing :)

  2. So smart to use a candle! Love the heart ones. Super cute~

  3. These rings are so cute, I love all of them.

  4. oh, i love this! i ususally love my rings big, but recently saw a really dainty horseshoe necklace that i can't stop thinking on! i would love to try one of these rings! thanks for sharing!

happy new year to you! hope all is well!

  5. You totally got me with the candle. What a great idea.

  6. Great tutorial!! Thanks! I've been wanting to try these! Do you think sliding a ring you own onto the candle, then marking where the ring sits on the candle would help determine size? I want to say yes, but I almost wonder if it would make it a hair too small...what do you think?

    1. I do, do that. I have figured what size I want and marked it. It is naturally making a small indent in my candle but not enough to make too big of a difference on the size. I was thinking if it did, I would just go a hair up on the candle and then mark it so the indent would fit perfect. I would love to see what you create. Send me pics when you make them.

  7. what is the size of the wire? i must try this.

  8. what type of wire do I need to use so that it will not tarnish. They are so cute. I would like to keep them for a long time.

    1. you can use sterling sliver wire. here is a web site http://www.dreamlandjewelry.com/stsiwi.html?gclid=CLGTt7fqya4CFaRgTAodrkScAQ
      I hope this helps.:)

  9. very cute! I love the rings with the two wrapped beads and the candle idea is so smart! I couldnt wait to make some rings that i went out and purchased a mandrel for 20 bucks at micheals!

  10. i am so in love with all of the rings. how do u do the hearts though? i cant wait to get started making some rings. thank u.

    1. Thank you so much, I should do a tutorial on them.:)

  11. I have made a few rings following your guide and they never come out as nest as yours. Also what is the importance of having the beads going east to west. I find it hard to keep the bead tight to the wire as I'm wrapping and it never seems in the center, it's always kinda off to the side or crooked. :/ please advise! Love these rings so much!!! (:

  12. Great idea!
Can you tell me how big the diameter of the wire?

    1. It is 20 Gauge wire :) I will up date the info on the tutorial thank you.

    2. Thank you! :) I can't wait to get started making some rings.
      Have a wonderful day.

  13. Brilliant idea using a candle as a mandrell !!!
