Racer back tee DIY #2, braided back.

There are so many ways you can change up the racer back tee shirt,
and as promised this is one of them:
 Braiding the back.

This is how it looks before you cut it.
 Cut across the collar
and trim excess material around the collar up too the hem
 to make it look clean.
 then divide into three sections
 and braid

I hand stitched the end to the top collar.

When you braid it, it  makes the shirt a little more fitted,
by taking up the excess material.
So if you want it tighter around the chest area this it what you do.

Here is my Flag Braided back tee complete with a Video

Have a fantastic Friday.

Basic, Racer Back Tee, DIY

So.... summer is here and you need some tank tops to survive the heat?
Why not make some out of a tee shirt you already have.
Super easy and it only takes  minutes..

Tutorial
Things you need

  1. V neck tee shirt
  2. Scissors
I cut the front along the red dotted line.

On the back,  cut along the red dotted line,

looks like this.

I trimmed one of  the sleeve hems.

and I used the sleeve hem to tie the back.

Bathing suit cover up, shirt dress, tank top.
You can do so much with this basic tank
and I will show you how I change it up
in some other posts, later this week.
Have a great Tuesday.

Sunday with Sailor Sam, Summer is coming.

After a littler break to observe Memorial Day,
Sam and Max are back enjoying the beginning of summer.
Let's go see what they have been up to.

 We did some sketches together
Sam told me he held the key.

Sailor Sam and I met, Selena, a good friend of mine from college
for lunch at the Columbia restaurant in Celebration.

Of course Sailor Sam ordered the Godiva chocolate cake.

I took Sailor Sam and Max to the Movies.

We saw Men in Black 3 in 3D, they both thought it was awesome.

Sailor Sam ate his very first raspberry and he loved it.

But eating it proved to be very messy, because  he got raspberry juice all over him
and  I had to wash his suit.
He also tried watermelon for the first time.
"These new fruits or super yummy." he told me.

Sailor Sam and Max put there heads together and decided to build something.

They were so happy with the results..
It was a  really cool fort.
They played it it for hours.

Until they both fell fast a sleep.
What a wonderful week.
"Good Night Sailor Sam, Max and Pooky,
Sweet dreams"

Have a wonderful Sunday night.

Leather and Rhinestone Cuff Bracelet

 Tutorial
Things you need
  1. Leather
  2. Rhinestones studs (Michaels)
  3. X-acto knife
  4. Ruler
  5. Cord
  6. Scissors~ not shown
  7. Leather hole punch ~not shown
  8. Button ~not shown

cut your leather 5 inches by 1 1/2 inches
I made this one four strips,
so I made three cuts.
using your x-acto knife and ruler cut a long line leaving about a half inch on each end.

Using your leather hole punch punch random holes, as many as you want.
Place your rhinestones in the holes.
Put the cap on the back and hammer lightly, to lock the rhinestone down...

punch two more holes on each end.

Cut two pieces of cord 12 inches long.
weave one cord on one end, tie a knot, then tie another knot
this is where your button will go through.
On the other side, weave the cord through and tie a knot.
then add your button~ tie a knot.

trim the extra cord off.

Some other leather cuff bracelets HERE
I am wearing two of them.

Happy Sunday.
