No Sew, Tee-Shirt DIY #4 Liera

I did this one in about 10 minutes. Easy, no sew shirt out of a mens medium tee shirt.

Great project for teens to do over the summer.

I named this after a wonderful girl I work with. 

She is the most beautiful person inside and out and has the kindest heart.

 Liera I just think you are amazing.

Tutorial 

Things you need

1. Tee-shirt~ I used a mens medium.
2. Scissors
3. Chalk

 Cut out the collar.

Flip your shirt over  so the back is facing you.

With your chalk  draw  a shape like the one above.

I eyeball everything 

This is  about 10 inches across and about 10 inches down.

draw lines going straight across about one inch apart.

I did 5 lines but you can do more if you want.

Cut each line.

Careful not to cut the front of the shirt.

Stretch gently

to make the material tubular.

 cut a slit up one side of the shirt about 10 to 11 inches.

 Tie it to fit you.

Mini Vacation and Emails

Hey everyone I just wanted it say thank you so much for all of your wonderful comments and support.    

Also,  I want to answer every question that you have but  it makes it very difficult when you do not 

 include and Email.

 I was given the chance to take an impromptu mini vacation to the beach and because I work 24/7,

I could not pass that up.

The rest of the week  I have a lot of engagements so project will be slim.

Bare with me while I get back on track.

No Sew, Tee-Shirt Halter #3, DIY

 I have the exciting opportunity to head to the beach for a couple of days, to relax and soak up a little of that beautiful Florida sunshine. I wanted to do one more halter top to take to wear with my jeans and this is what I came up with. It can be changed in so many ways let's just say this is a 3 in one shirt. It seems like I am packing all of my DIY tops and dresses to wear.

 Things You Need.

1.  Tee-Shirt~ mine is a mens medium
2. Scissors
3. Chalk

Front 

 Cut where the red lines are.

 The back 

 cut the red lines

Back

 Cut down the middle of the back cut out..

 Front after cutting
NOTE* you cut one continuous line from the front to the back. 

Back After cutting

 now tie the front

 wrap around your neck 

and tie to the two straps in the back.

.

 If you want to trim off the excess off the straps.

 I am leaving mine so I can play and change it up some more..

or tie them into a bow.

Sunday's with Sailor Sam

Sam has been on a little break from  my every snapping camera lens.  But this week he is back and wanting to share is last couple of weeks with all of you.. Enjoy.. 

Happy Sunday.!

 Every morning Sailor Sam and I  start our day off with a perfect cup of coffee.

Sailor Sam Say's ^

 Sam became good Friends with  kitty, who sits on my desk. 

They look like they are up to something sneaky.

  Sailor Sam wants to know....... the above question..

Sailor Sam enjoyed his first BLT,

"This Sandwich is amazing!"  he said. 

 Of coarse we had to go to the movies.

We saw "Prometheus"* Scary*

" That guy looks familiar." Sailor Sam said to Max.

" Brave" 

Funny, Sweet and Beautiful....

and "  The Amazing Spiderman" 

Exciting, fast and simply amazing...

 Sailor Sam encountered his first toad.  

Sadly it did not turn into a prince..

 Sam and I  have a special love for this beautiful tree.

 The Crepe Myrtle.

Sailor Sam has sort of adopted a new beautiful kitty,

 appropriately  named "Mr. Grey".

And after a very long day Sam and Max passed out two seconds
after placing their heads upon their pillow. *I can relate*

"Good Night Sailor Sam, Max and Pooky."

Tee-Shirt, Fishtail Sundress, DIY

Make you own Sundress out of two Extra large tee-shirts.

This does require some sewing,  nothing too crazy, just simple sewing.

Tutorial 

Things you need

1. Two extra large tee-shirts
2. Scissors
3.  Large safety pin
4. Sewing machine

Cut the front of #1 shirt like the picture above.

Cut the back of #1 shirt like the picture above

take the #2 shirt and cut it straight across,

right under the arms.

Before you sew #1 shirt to #2 shirt...
Cut two strips of knit about an inch wide from number 2 shirt * cut one end on each strip to make two long strings*
 stretch them out and  tie them together .
This makes the  string that you are going to thread through the top of the sundress.

Sew the two shirts together.

fold sideways Cut like the above picture  for a fishtail sundress, cutting off the bottom hem.

* knit material does not fray so you don't have to hem it.*

or you can leave it straight if you want.

 Sew about an inch hem all the way around the top.
Leave a space open at both corners,

 this is where you will thread the string through.

 cut two  pieces off the hem, 1 inch long, fold in half  and sew them like the picture above
Dimensions in the picture  below

Take the knit string you made and thread it using a safety pin~ starting at one corner 

working  all the way around the shirt, ending at the other corner.

 I added beads to the end of my knit string
 just for a little detail.
