Spiderweb Shirt, DIY

With Halloween just around the corner, I have been in the mood to make all kinds of things related to one of my favorite holidays.  I loved dressing up as a child and going out searching for candy, and we never bought pre-made costumes we always made ours. Thank you MOM for making Halloween such a fun time for us when we where kids.  Halloween is such a great way to stretch your imagination, and become something completely different for a night.

I have seen a few of these shirts on the internet 

and thought that it would be a great shirt for October and beyond.

 Tutorial 

Things you need.

1. Tee Shirt * on this project I used a small men's  Hanes tee-shirt*
2. Scissors
3. Chalk
4. Spiderweb Pattern

  Cut off the collar

 Draw your web pattern or you could use this one I drew.

Just  print the above picture out.

Cut out your pattern.

 Place the pattern on your shirt ,* I put my pattern on a slight angle.

Trace with chalk.

Cut out.

and now you have your very own spiderweb shirt,

put on your spider necklace and your set.

Wear with your favorite tank top.

Glitter Spiders, DIY

 I saw some glitter spiders the other day and thought how fun and easy they would be to make.

Tutorial 

Things you need.

1. Fine Glitter * I used Martha Stewart ultra fine glitter.
2. Plastic spiders
3. Mod Podge HERE
4. Brush
5. Leather punch
6. Alligator clasp* not shown. I got mine at Joann fabrics.
7. Hot glue gun* also not shown.

#1 Coat your spiders in glue

#2 Put your spider on a clean sheet of paper and coat with glitter.  

When done pour the glitter back in the tube.

let dry about an hour Repeat step #2

 Let dry about 3 hours.

#3 put hot glue in the under belly of the spider

then add your alligator clasp to the glue, let dry.

 I made two gold spiders to put on my shoes and other fun places.

 On one of the spiders before I put glue and glitter on it, 

I used my leather hole punch and punched a hole in it's tail end.

Then I added a jump ring and put it on a chain.

I bet they would make great earrings too.

 There is no end where these beauty's could go.

A fun project do do with the children for Halloween.

Circle Necklace,DIY

I found these beautiful hammered circles up in Georgia

 and thought that some of them would make a perfect necklace. 

Tutorial.

Things you need.

1. Chain 17 1/2 inches long
2.  Pliers
3. 3 Circles
4. Jump Rings* 5 medium, 1 large.
5. Clasp
6. Head pin *not shown
7. Small bead *not shown

Measure your chain,

 two pieces 8 inches long,

one piece 1 1/2 inches long.

Put your head pin through the bead.

 Make a circle at the other end with your pliers.

Connect your three circles together with 2 medium jump rings.

Then add 1 medium jump ring to one end of each chain.

 Then add those two jump rings to your circle.

Now at the other end of one chain add one large jump ring,

to the other chain add a medium jump ring,

take the 1 1/2 inch chain  that you cut and add a jump ring and the bead,

 then add that to the medium jump ring.

Now add your Clasp to the medium jump ring as well.

and your finished.

Charm Me, Charm Bracelet DIY.

I am heading off for the weekend and I wanted to make a few, fun  pieces to wear. 

Charm bracelets are big again and I have so many left over charms and chain from other projects that I thought I would combine them to make my very own special charm bracelet. 

Easy, Easy.

Tutorial

Things you need.

1. Chain 6 1/2 inches long.
2. Pliers
3. Jump rings
4. Charms
5. Beads
6. Clasp

Add a large jump ring  to one end of your chain,

then add a medium jump ring and your clasp to the other end.

Space out your other jump rings where you would like your charms to go.

Arrange your charms.

With pliers open the jump rings, add your charms

 then add the jump rings and charms to the chain.

Now  wear.

Faux Studded Loafers, DIY

Studded Loafers have been  quite the rage lately. 

I wanted to see if I could make a pair for considerably less. 

 My wonderful friend and I  Keira, AKA a Pretty Penny, got together for a fantastic crafting night..

 I made my faux studded shoes, she made these fantastic black and gold polka dot jeans

 and we both made these incredible totes from an artichoke turned into a  stencil.

 Who new? That tutorial later..

I think it is going to have to become a rule that Keira and I 

craft at least once a month together... if not more.. 

I am so thankful to call her my friend, a beautiful, talented  women  inside and out.

Inspiration

 

Tutorial 

Things you need.

1. Tulip Silver Puffy paint
2. Loafers ~Walmart $14.00
3. A Great Friend:)

Take your puff paint and randomly place your dots.

  ~I started along the edge of the shoe~

You can do as many or as little as you want. 

Once you have finished one shoe dot up the other one.

Let dry for at least 6 hours,

 or overnight is even better.

 And that is it.

Wear with your favorite outfit.

I love, LOVE mine. 

I also have some other ideas for another pair of loafers

 and that will be coming soon.
