T-Shirt Zipper Skirt, DIY

Pintrest is a wonderful place to get DIY ideas.
I have been exploring how many different skirts I can make out of T-shirts.
Here is one of them.

Tutorial
Things you need.
  1. Shirt * used a  Hanes medium mens.
  2. Chalk
  3. Scissors
  4. 7 inch zipper
  5. Tape
  6. Large safety pin
  7. Ruler
  8.  Straight Pins
  9. Sewing machine
Lay your shirt down flat.
Measure one and one half inches down from the arm pit.
Tape across
Cut a straight line right under the armpits,
and cut a straight line at the taped line
This will give you a one and one half inch strip of material.

Stretch out your one and one half inch piece.
Cut it to make one long string
* this will be your tie piece.
now mark your skirt 4 inches in from the side.
Mark your line with chalk.
Place your zipper on your line

Fold under the excess.
Pin your zipper down.
Fold the top of your skirt down about one inch
 Iron it.
Sew it leaving about an inch channel.

Now sew your zipper on sewing along  the outside edge.
Unzip the zipper and cut down the middle.
Turn inside out and trim the excess material.
Cut a small slit in the top hem
this is where you will thread your knit sting that you made through.

Attach the string to a large safety pin and thread it through bringing out on the other side.
Tie a knot on both ends of your string.
Now you have a quick and easy skirt for day time

or night time

Have a Wonderful Thursday.
Lots of <3
