Basic, Racer Back Tee, DIY

So.... summer is here and you need some tank tops to survive the heat?
Why not make some out of a tee shirt you already have.
Super easy and it only takes  minutes..

Tutorial
Things you need

  1. V neck tee shirt
  2. Scissors
I cut the front along the red dotted line.

On the back,  cut along the red dotted line,

looks like this.

I trimmed one of  the sleeve hems.

and I used the sleeve hem to tie the back.

Bathing suit cover up, shirt dress, tank top.
You can do so much with this basic tank
and I will show you how I change it up
in some other posts, later this week.
Have a great Tuesday.
Lots of <3,
Anne

  1. Do you need to do anything special to the edges so they don't fray or loose their shape when washed?

    1. The size I used was a mens large, because I wanted it big.. But use any size that would fit you.:)

  7. I found out the hard way that cutting the shirt like this almost exactly didn't work for my larger chest:( but I guess that is my own fault for not taking it into account.

  15. Why can't you just cut through the back and front at the same time?
