No Sew, CrissCross Back, T-Shirt DIY


Tutorial 
Things you Need
  1. T-Shirt * I used a large Hanes
  2. Scissors
  3. Chalk
 Mark your T-shirt  with chalk.
 Cut your shirt
 Turn your shirt over and mark the center all the way down.
 Cut where you marked (* just cut the back side of the shirt.)
 Trim off the corners.
Cut open the seams at the shoulders.
Cut both shoulder seams.
 Now criss cross your straps.
 Tie them back together.
 Back
This would make a great Beach cover up or
  match it up with  a pair of jeans.

    Works great with maternity as the back is able to give some leway with growing belly. Wear a Cami or something under to keep ur back covered ;)

    Cute! You said you used a large what size do you normally wear? Basically what is the size difference.

      I went up about two sizes in mens. I usually wear a small mens if I want it to fit normal. always when you are cutting and tying a shirt you need a little extra. I hope this helps:)

    Love this design! Do you ever finish the raw edges or just leave them? I was wondering how one of these would look with a lettuce edge finish around the arms and neck area.

      I do not finish the edges when I do a no sew tee. They seem to hold up just fine I have worn and washed several and they all held up great.:)

    Cute! I tried it with a super stretched out tee I was considering tossing -- it wound up being large and stretchy enough that I could tie the bottom around my waist, which made it look like a 1950s-esque halter top. The tee is a cotton/spandex mix with lots of stretch and a nice drape to it. I had to trim off the bottom hem as well.

    Hello, I love your DIY, so creative!
    I tried this shirt out, but when I criss cross the back it ends up laying flat against itself. It doesn't make the criss cross shape that yours does in the end. I wondered if I did not cut the "corners" deep enough, so I cut them longer and that did not help. Have you heard of this happening? Any tips to make the shirt cross correctly? Thank you for any information!

    This is so cute! I'm sorry I know this may be a dumb question but can you only cut half way down the back of the shirt and it still work out the same so there is no slit? :) thank you

    i had two super giant shirts that i bought bc i loved the graphics but they were too big to just wear. i used your instructions (modified a little bit) and now i have two REEEEAAAALLLLY cute shirts that i will actually wear a LOT. THANK YOU!
