 Tutorial
 Things you need.
  1.  Glitter in three colors Dark, Medium, Light. any color *I uses the red hues in  Martha Stewart glitter:  Garnet, Tourmaline and  Rose quart. * Michaels
  2. Fabric- tac glue or Mod podge fabric glue. *Wal-mart or Michaels

  6. Sweatshirt. *I used a men's small Hanes. *Wal-mart or Target

Wash your sweatshirt and dry it.
 Cut off the collar.

Cut out a template of a heart.
Make it as big and as little as you want.
Place it in the center of you sweatshirt.

Tape the heart down on your shirt.
Then put down strips of tape.

Take off every other strip of tape.

Put a piece of cardboard in between the sweatshirt.

Put glue on the open stripes and sprinkle with your glitter.

I did two stripes of each color.

let dry.. shake off the glitter and repeat the glue/ glitter process again.

 Carefully peel off your tape.
To Seal the glitter in put a thin layer of Mod Podge Fabric Glue on the glitter stripes.
Let dry for about 48 hours before washing.
Wash in cold water tumble dry on low heat or hang dry.

I put a stud at the seams so I didn't have to sew them.

Hello Heart.

Have a wonderful Sunday.
Lots of <3,

  4. Love your heart themed restyles and DIY jewelry. This heart would be cute with or without the glitter - so many options. The stud detail is also nice besides being a time saver. I posted the top photo and a link back to you on truebluemeandyou on Tumblr.

  8. I love this and have starting making it myself. A couple of questions, about how big is your heart, and can you mix the glitter with the glue and paint it on? I have used that method with regular modge podge and it works, but I've never worked with fabric and glitter.

    1. Yes..You can mix the two as long as you use a fabric glue, it and a fabric paint it should work just fine. The heart was made with just a regular piece of paper folded in half and then cut in the shape of a heart.:)<3

Quick question, how long did you have to wait for the glue/glitter to dry before repeating the process?

  11. So I made this yesterday and I was wondering if you have ever tried to set the glitter so it doesn't shed off? I read online about putting a clear varnish spray over it, but I am hesitant and I wanted to check and see if you have ever done a finish over any of your glitter cloths projects.

    1. Yes. If you do not want to sew it, it is on of the best ways to keep the seams from unraveling.:)
