Leather Cuff Bracelet, DIY

I am always looking for fast and easy inexpensive  jewelery DIY.
I love how this cuff gold leather bracelet looks.
Soo ,Why not
Make It!

Tutorial
Things you need
1.A piece of leather( 2 inches by 7/12 inches)
3.X-acto Knife
4.Rhinestone Studs
5.Mallet

Cut your leather 2 inches by 71/2 inches
Cut 9 lines through the leather leaving about 3/4 of an inch on each side.
Cut a small x where you want your stud to go,

Using something sturdy ( I used a wrench) hammer down your stud.   Don't hit it too hard, but do give it a firm whack~ like maybe you want to do to your kids sometimes.;)~JK
Cut two small slits for the rhinestones

And your all done :)
You could also use buttons or snaps for the closure.
I might make another one, but paint the leather gold.
Have a fantastic Thursday!!

Project Re-Style #41 Vintage purse~ turned in to a Side Slung Bag.

Welcome everyone, to my Project Re-Style day.
I am so happy to see a few more wonderful friends that have found my blog and that love DIY  as much as I do.  For anyone new, Welcome.!!   I do a Re-Style Project every Monday. This means,  I take something that I have that is old or tired and Re -vamp it into something new and different.
All the details about Project Re-Style will be at the end of this post.

Today's Re-Style is going to be  A vintage lizard purse, that someone tried to fix with cheap and the  wrong color hardware. I picked up this baby about 9 months ago at a wonderful vintage shop.  I have worn it a couple of times but I wanted it to be more sturdy and more wearable, so I decided to turn Ms. lizard into  a side slung bag.

Tutorial
Things you need

1. Old Purse
2. Pliers
3. Chain (My chain is 42 inches)

First Take off the old hardware with Pliers.

Divide your New Chain in half.
With pliers open up the chain

Attach to  both side of the chain to the  purse

Then attach the chain to the top handle.
and that is all there is to it.
